Dance is the hidden language of the soul. It is a medium of expression that requires selfless dedication and spiritual orientation apart from utmost discipline.

Bharatanatyam is an ancient classical dance form of South India that symbolizes grace, purity and sculpturesque poses.

Bharatanatyam as the name depicts is a derivation from the four most inevitable aspects of dance. These are Bha from Bhava meaning emotion, Ra from Raga meaning music, Tha from Thala meaning beats or rhythm and Natyam meaning dance.

An amalgamation of these disciplines together moulds a dancer into a professional Bharatanatyam artist of great merit.

"To achieve this motto is the sole priority at Chitra Centre for Performing Arts, Bangalore, a premiere dance institution successfully running for the past Four decades in the hands of a highly committed and dedicated Artistic Director, Guru Smt.Chitra Vinodh"
